With a full time job, I usually just throw on some mascara and my favorite tinted lip moisturizer before work each morning. To touch up throughout the day I keep these five essential beauty products in my work bag.
I generally like to keep my makeup look simple and natural, opting for a little bit of color on my lips and a swipe of mascara to bring out my eyes.
Tinted lip moisturizer: This lip treatment moisturizes and protects your lips (it has SPF 15). For me, the color ‘Petal’ is my go to as it is a subtle, natural color. Perfect for the office and everyday wear.
bareMinerals Stroke of Light Eye Brightener: I have used this product for years. It actually brightens the under eye area unlike concealers that just cover dark circles. It also does not “cake” like many other concealers. I do a light stroke under both eyes and dab with my finger to blend.
Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in ‘Melted Chihuahua – Dusty Mauve’: My makeup artist at my wedding used this on my lips and I have been hooked ever since. I’m in love with the color (it’s similar to the Fresh Lip Treatment in ‘Petal’) but is one “step up” from a tinted chapstick.
butter London Iconoclast Mascara: I’ve tried many, many mascaras and this one is my favorite so far. The brush has a ball tip end which ensures a full and even application. If you tilt the brush at the ends of your lashes you can really add that extra “pop”.
Wine Cosmetics Softening Lip Balm: This “liquid” chapstick contains grape seed oil and shea butter – the perfect combination needed for dry, winter lips.
What are some of your “go-to” beauty products? Have you tried any of these?
